How does the chat work?
JMFM opens the chat during shows. Everyone can see the latest 60 visible messages from the last 24 hours. Nicknames are not verified identities. Moderators may hide messages and block participants. Wait at least 8 seconds between messages. Links are not allowed. Audio has a short delay.
Presence is estimated from activity within 75 seconds; external players such as Sonos are not included. A technical presence cookie and a participation cookie last 24 hours. Messages and technical identifiers are cleaned up after their retention period when WordPress cleanup runs. A protected hash of your IP address helps prevent spam. Mobile background activity may be delayed. Playback status does not prove that someone hears the audio.

Choose to receive an invitation when JMFM announces a live show, even when this page is closed. There are at least 10 minutes between alerts.
On iPhone or iPad (iOS 16.4 or later), add JMFM to the home screen, open it from its icon, then enable notifications.
About listening
Optional; you can unsubscribe here. Your browser asks for permission. JMFM stores a technical subscription address; delivery uses your browser’s push service. No email or phone number is required. Delivery depends on connectivity and device settings. Subscriptions inactive on the site for 180 days are removed. Invitations are currently in French.
How can I listen to JMFM?
On Sonos, your phone or in the car: choose your device.
Phone · Tablet · Computer The easiest way
- Open the JMFM app in your browser.
- If the music does not start, tap Listen to JMFM.
- Use Add JMFM to my home screen for a shortcut on your phone.
Sonos With TuneIn or AirPlay
- Add the TuneIn service in the Sonos app.
- Open the TuneIn mobile app and sign in with the same TuneIn account.
- In Library, choose Custom URL and paste the stream link below.
- Start playback and add the station to your TuneIn favourites as JMFM. Check that it appears in Library → Favourites.
- In Sonos, open Your services → TuneIn → Favourites and choose JMFM.
On AirPlay-compatible Sonos speakers, you can also use the Apple instructions below. Playback still needs to be tested on your speaker.

- Connect your phone and compatible speaker to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Start JMFM in the app.
- Open Control Centre, then the audio controls and AirPlay.
- Choose your HomePod, Apple TV or compatible speaker.
Your phone remains the playback source. Compatibility depends on the speaker.

- Connect your computer and Google Cast device to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the JMFM app in Google Chrome on your computer and start playback.
- Open Chrome’s menu and choose Cast (sometimes under Cast, save and share).
- Choose Cast tab, then your TV or compatible speaker.
Keep the tab open. This uses Chrome tab casting; the app has no direct mobile Cast button.

- Pair your phone with the speaker or car radio in Bluetooth settings.
- Choose Bluetooth Audio on the receiving device if needed.
- Open the JMFM app and start playback.
Set this up while parked. The web app does not add a JMFM icon to CarPlay or Android Auto.
